It's all about balance

I've been reading alot of sites and blogs on what? Of course, weight loss. But more importantly, about eating balanced healthy meals. And the key word is BALANCE. So many experts (self-professed perhaps) say the same thing. If you deprive yourself of your favourite foods, if you don't give into a craving once in a while, if you refrain from eating anything "bad", this will eventually give way to binge-ing. Which is totally true for me. The longer I go without something I really really want, I give into it in the worst way. I go overboard. But, if I schedule these little treats and indulgences into my weekly plan, I don't feel deprived and don't feel like I am missing out on anything.

And the days that I do indulge? I just have to readjust the rest of the day.

Take today for example. I just ate 5 points of chocolate. My whole body was craving chocolate. So instead of the pasta I was going to have for dinner, I'm going to have a salad and a small bowl of soup.

BALANCE.

I agree about the binging - you have to give yourself what your body wants... in moderation of course.
