A few things.

1/ My portions are all wrong. I figure if I'm eating something low low points (ie: vegetables) then I can have as much of them as I want? But if I want to adapt myself to correct portion sizes, I need to start eating the right portions of everything. Does that make sense?

2/ I'm becoming a much better cook then I ever was. I never really timed things (like as long as whatever I'm cooking cooks for as long as the recipe says it should, then it could go as much longer as you let it). So things would cook for too long and reach it's "optimum" cookedness (hehe). I know I'm explaining this horribly, but I'm learning to make sure everything cooks for the right amount (and not too long), I'm experimenting with different foods, different spices, different ways of preparing food.... my girlfriend Lisa made a comment like "you guys have like a gourmet meal every night" which made me laugh out loud. Us? Gourmet? Now while that was a bit of an exaggeration, the fact that someone thinks that *I* cook well is an eye-opener to the fact that I maybe cook better then I gave myself credit for.

3/ The past couple days have sucked! Actually, foodwise, they have been great. But otherwise? Brutal. I've been cramping and feeling like SHIT, trying to deal with this both mentally and physically, work is insanely insane (I'm covering for 3 people all summer), I had to take a few days off last week so trying to catch up (for 3 divisions!) and I got a call that Carson had a fever today. Ugh. I can't wait for my 2 weeks vacation (first day off is August 1st!)

I feel you about the work, I'm in the same situation. I'm trying to handle it, but I have been swearing a little more lately. haha!
